Overview

The Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Associate reports to the Head of Field Office and collaborates with partners to enhance economic inclusion and improve self-reliance of persons of concern and host community members.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying opportunities and ensuring complementarity between UNHCR's protection work and economic inclusion objectives.
  • Support UNHCR staff in aligning policy, operational, and programme priorities.
  • Establish and maintain reporting and knowledge exchanges among stakeholders.
  • Assist in engaging in development planning, programming, and coordination processes.
  • Explore partnerships to enhance graduation and economic inclusion.
  • Work with the multi-functional team to collect information on the legal framework for the right to work.
  • Support the implementation of graduation and socioeconomic inclusion.
  • Participate in assessments and surveys.
  • Provide technical assistance on livelihoods and graduation strategy interventions.
  • Liaise with partners and authorities on livelihoods, graduation, and economic inclusion issues.
  • Prepare field reports and make recommendations for interventions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience

Minimum 3 years experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Development Studies, Business Administration, Social Studies or related fields.

Remuneration
The Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) is paid at the end of each month to cover housing, utilities, transportation, communications, and other basic needs.
