Overview
The Online Volunteer will support the OHCHR Regional Office for Southern Africa in creating impactful visual assets that amplify the work undertaken by the office, focusing on strengthening communications and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Create draft designs based on requirements and discuss with focal point/communications team.
- Develop designs according to agreed requirements.
- Assist to develop social media messaging in collaboration with PIO and other OHCHR staff members.
- Design assets for social media, websites and publication design and layout for ROSA projects.
Required Experience
- Professional experience in graphic design.
- Previous experience in designing document layouts.
- In-depth knowledge of graphic design applications.
- Experience in video editing and motion graphics animation would be considered an asset.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in multi-media and communication.
- Strong background in media and communications tools with an emphasis on communication campaigns is an advantage.
Qualifications
• A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
