Overview
The Online Volunteer will support the OHCHR Regional Office for Southern Africa in strengthening its organisational effectiveness with respect to communications and advocacy, by co-creating, drafting and reviewing communication and advocacy content and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-develop, draft and review communication content and strategies.
- Create concepts and key messages for communication campaigns.
- Draft human interest and impact articles, remarks, and opinion pieces for internal and publications including OHCHR Website, OHCHR Intranet, UNCT newsletters, social media platforms, and podcasts.
- Review and sub-edit reports and policy briefs and related documents to ensure alignment and consistency with OHCHR style guide.
Required Experience
- At least three years of relevant experience in Communications or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in multi-media and communication.
- A strong background in media and communications tools and developing communication materials is an advantage.
Qualifications
A university degree in Communications or a related field from an accredited institution.
