Overview

The UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Internship for the APAC Regional Team involves supporting administrative tasks, conducting research, and assisting with regional capacity-building activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing documents.
  • Conduct research on financial markets and data analysis.
  • Assist in the implementation of capacity building initiatives, supporting training programmes, coordination during events/training and resource allocation.
  • Support APAC Regional Team members across different functions and tasks.
Required Experience

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: a. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); c. Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation. Bachelor's or graduate student with an academic background in environment, sustainability, nature, or biodiversity, combined with a strong research background and an interest in or understanding of sustainable finance.

Knowledge of Chinese is desirable.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
