Overview

Support the integration of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) principles across climate commitments and plastics circularity projects. Ensure GESI considerations are embedded in project implementation, monitoring, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct GESI and safeguard reviews of project documents.
  • Provide technical advice on gender-responsive monitoring and reporting frameworks.
  • Contribute to gender-sensitive measurement methodologies and data collection.
  • Facilitate GESI integration into REDD+ implementation, carbon market mechanisms, and subnational NDC tracking.
  • Support GESI integration into plastics circularity activities.
  • Ensure project reporting reflects inclusive, transparent, and gender-responsive implementation.
  • Provide GESI analysis and inputs for reports, board meetings, and donor reporting.
  • Track and document gender-responsive and socially inclusive results.
  • Contribute technical expertise to capacity-building activities on GESI.
  • Develop knowledge products on gender-responsive climate governance.
  • Support inclusive stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with UNDP Social and Environmental Standards (SES) and safeguards frameworks.
Required Experience

Minimum 7 years (with Secondary Education) or 4 years (with Bachelor Degree) of relevant experience in Gender & policy analysis. Experience supporting projects with technical expertise in Gender & policy analysis. Desired: Experience and good knowledge on Indonesia’s policies and national priorities on climate change. Experience and knowledge on the current development on innovative policy making. Strong knowledge and professional experience in environmental issues, particularly REDD+ implementation, NDC, Carbon Market, or related fields. Demonstrated experience in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation including coordination with government institutions, cross-ministerial bodies e.g. Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Environment or key stakeholders. Experience working with UNDP or other UN agencies and/or international organizations and/or major donor agencies will be an advantage. Solid experience in data collection and analysis especially in gender and policy and in the area of environmental issues would be advantage.

Qualifications

Secondary Education is required. OR University degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in Gender Study; Sustainable Development, Social Science, or another related field.
