The Senior Safeguards Analyst develops and evaluates new safeguards concepts and approaches, supports Operations Divisions in design and implementation of State-level approaches, and coordinates development of additional tools to support safeguards implementation.
At least 10 years of working experience in the nuclear field, including experience in systems analysis and developing and evaluating nuclear safeguards concepts and methods. Experience in organizing and conducting working groups and technical meetings. Good knowledge of the nuclear fuel cycle and nuclear materials, preferably obtained in the design, operation or regulation of nuclear fuel cycle facilities. Thorough knowledge of IAEA safeguards concepts, practices and technology.
Master's Degree - Advanced university degree (or equivalent level degree) in nuclear or other engineering, physical science, mathematics, or a safeguards related discipline. Bachelor's Degree - University degree in nuclear or other engineering, physical science, mathematics, or a safeguards related discipline with two years of additional relevant work experience.
