Overview

To support efficient financial management by coordinating finance processes, analyzing financial data, and providing timely and accurate information to strengthen operational performance and decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide procedural and technical support to staff within the areas of finance and budget.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist in setup and implementation of proper accounting procedures, systems and cash controls.
  • Monitor the daily cash position.
  • Monitor the centralized registry system to process payments and invoices.
  • Contribute to the preparation, implementation and monitoring of budgets.
  • Monitor expenditure and budget forecasts.
  • Co-ordinate with other teams to ensure efficient financial and administrative services.
  • Monitor account balances and process financial transactions.
  • Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts.
  • Compile data to assist in generating and analyzing financial reports.
  • Allocate tasks to other support staff and provide guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Remain on stand-by for emergency requirements.
Required Experience

At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, budget, or administrative support functions. Experience in data processing, reconciliation, and financial record-keeping is mandatory.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate i.e. University degree in Accounting & Finance is highly desirable.
