Overview
Support the timely execution of health targets, workplans, and budgets under the Global Fund grant, and contribute to the enhancement of disease programme management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the timely execution of Ministry of Health-led HIV, TB, malaria and RSSH targets, workplan and budget under the GC7 grant
- Assist, review and update detailed work plans for activities to be led by the INLS, the National TB Programme, the Malaria control Programme and/or Provincial Governments.
- Ensure grant activities are conducted, planned and executed on time, and supporting documents are generated and collected as per UNDP requirements.
- Participate in grant monitoring and evaluation visits.
- Support the building of sound reporting frameworks related to grant implementation.
- Help inform community-based interventions implemented by NGO Sub-Recipients.
- Support the introduction of effective health facility-community linkages.
- Support the enhancement of HIV and Tuberculosis disease programme management.
- Support the planning, delivery and documentation of capacity assessments and capacity building exercises.
- Promote the transfer of skills to Ministry of Health staff.
- Contribute technical expertise and experience to capacity development interventions.
- Support the identification, design, and implementation of appropriate interventions.
- Support the building of reporting frameworks at the central and provincial level.
- Support the INLS, national TB Programme, national malaria Programme and Provincial health teams in building robust reporting mechanisms.
- Contribute to UNDP PMU reporting to the Global Fund.
- Contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance and quality improvement interventions.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge products.
- Assist in the identification of success stories and best practices.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to three years) in:
- Management of health projects or programmes
- HIV, TB and malaria programmes
- Monitoring and Evaluation of Health Programmes
- Design, delivery and documentation of capacity-building interventions
- Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Sciences, Sociology or related applied health sciences areas of study.
