Overview
Support the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Gabon by contributing to the reform of the justice sector and strengthening rule of law institutions. The role involves providing technical advice, supporting program implementation, and contributing to policy documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Support decentralization and local governance structures/institutions.
- Support Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in implementing decentralization and local governance actions.
- Contribute to analyses of the country's political, social, and economic situation.
- Provide technical advice to support dialogue with national partners on governance programs.
- Contribute to UNDP's work on gender equality and equity.
- Provide technical support for the preparation and implementation of the new Country Programme Document (CPD).
- Provide support in the management of the justice project.
- Support the unit in gathering information for activity formulation, project documents, work plans, budgets, and proposals.
- Analyze project situations, identify problems, and propose solutions.
- Monitor performance indicators, success criteria, targets, milestones, and benchmarks.
- Contribute to the preparation of project fiches and the development of programs/projects in the governance portfolio.
- Contribute to the development of new UNCT joint programs linked to the UNDP governance portfolio.
- Follow up on actions required for project closure.
Required Experience
3 years of practical experience in the design, monitoring, and evaluation of development projects, with a particular focus on governance and institutional capacity building. Skills in elections and governance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, Social Science or related field.
