Overview

Provide direct technical support to a project and contribute to expected outcomes, assisting in promoting ILO policies and the Decent Work Agenda.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in project implementation by providing technical inputs, planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ensure conformity with ILO policies, project strategies, and programming guidelines.
  • Manage day-to-day contracts and implementation agreements, ensuring timely budget delivery.
  • Provide technical advice on social protection reforms to project staff and relevant ministries, institutions, and stakeholders.
  • Promote non-discrimination, disability inclusion, and gender responsiveness.
  • Support social dialogue, capacity-building, and partnership activities.
  • Conduct research and integrate technical inputs for country analyses, reports, and publications.
  • Maintain liaison with governments, social partners, and NGOs.
  • Represent the ILO at meetings and contribute to building strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate and share good practices with other ILO projects and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake and coordinate missions related to project implementation.
  • Undertake other duties as required.
Required Experience

At least five years of relevant professional experience, with an emphasis on social protection. Expertise on both contributory and non-contributory schemes and programmes, and international social security standards and principles, is considered an advantage. Experience with national dialogue processes, in particular in the MENA region, is an asset.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in economic, social science, or related field. A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in one of the aforementioned fields or other relevant field with an additional two years of relevant experience, in addition to the required experience stated below, will be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of Arabic would be a strong asset; French would be an advantage.
