Overview
Provide comprehensive, victim-centered case management services for victims of crime, including eligibility screening, service planning, and education on community services, resources, and legal rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive case management services, including assisting with accessing community resources, making referrals to legal providers, and arranging social activities.
- Provide crisis intervention to victims and their family members suffering from crime related trauma.
- Complete eligibility screenings and enrollment paperwork.
- Assess and evaluate the needs of victims while providing appropriate services and maintaining documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to further assist in the identification and referral of victims of crime.
- Ensure acute needs are met in a timely and client-centered manner.
- Provide assistance with the development and implementation of outreach and training activities.
- Track program activities, compile data, and draft reports.
- Participate in program meetings and staff development activities.
Required Experience
2+ years of related work experience; 1-year minimum working with victims of crime or other vulnerable populations. Case management and/or victims assistance experience preferred.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Human Services or similar field strongly preferred; comparable related work experience may be substituted.
