Overview
The MEAL Assistant Manager is responsible for the proper management of all ECHO project data procedures, including data collection, verification, database updates, data audits, and analysis to measure programmatic progress and document lessons learned.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the M&E Plan and progress monitoring matrix.
- Analyze indicators and project activities for project review meetings and reports.
- Contribute to the design and update of data collection tools.
- Collect information for project monitoring and evaluation.
- Periodically perform primary analysis of collected data.
- Ensure program data is shared according to guidelines and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all indicators are progressing normally.
- Participate in evaluations, including form development, data collection methods, data processing and analysis, and preliminary report production.
- Document project lessons learned.
- Contribute to the timely production of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and donor reports.
- Manage and update data (CMAM, PID, MIPR, etc.) in collaboration with program teams.
- Coordinate data collection, verification, compilation, analysis, and dissemination, including GBV incidents using the GBVIMS.
- Ensure proper management of health data in close collaboration with the project team.
- Ensure the timeliness, completeness, and reliability of data and project reports.
- Prepare analysis reports highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and elements requiring specific decisions.
- Undertake regular field visits (data audits) to assess progress and identify technical quality or implementation issues, providing solutions and modifications as needed.
- Contribute to the development of project evaluation methodology.
- Ensure evaluation activities are documented and archived, along with project reports.
- Configure data collection tools on CommCare, KoboCollect platforms.
- Collaborate with the accountability focal point for the management of the complaint/feedback mechanism.
- Contribute to client and partner satisfaction surveys related to accountability.
- Provide support to all sectors for the proper management and analysis of routine data, quantitative and qualitative evaluations.
- Collaborate with the entire project team for the proper implementation of activities, monitoring, and evaluation of indicators within the defined timeline.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role: MEAL, data manager, etc.
- Experience in the use of CMAM, GBV/IMS tools.
- Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys.
- Experience working with international NGOs is an asset.
- Experience working in displacement, indigenous, or refugee environments (NGOs).
Qualifications
A degree: Bachelor's in Statistics, Public Health, Demography, Epidemiology, Social Science, State Registered Nurse, or other equivalent university degrees.
