Overview
The Case Worker will be responsible for implementing activities related to individual case management through a home-based approach, supporting vulnerable children within specific regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification of cases, outreach, and dissemination of referral pathways.
- Assessment of the child’s social, biological, and psychological situation.
- Referral to relevant services and follow-up on children at risk of separation.
- Development of flexible case plans.
- Maintenance of confidential documentation, including CPIMS.
- Provision of timely feedback and reporting to the line manager.
- Provision of cash according to national operating procedures.
- Provision of specialized psychosocial support activities.
- Coordination with other sectors and external agencies.
Required Experience
- 3 years of experience in child protection case management.
- Participated in alternative care and other child protection related training.
- Experience working in emergency context.
- Training courses on communication, reporting, social policies are a plus.
- Concise reporting skills, especially comprehensive report submitted to UPEL.
- Worked with separated and unaccompanied children.
- Experience in working with children at risk and families.
- Experience in case management in the emergency response.
- Experience in working with CPIMS systems for data management.
- Understanding of social welfare systems and child protection mechanisms in Lebanon.
- Ability to write and submit weekly and monthly reports, develop schedules and collect data.
- Good communication skills with different stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in implementing CP activities.
- Experience in coordination with external stakeholders and service providers.
- Self-initiator, with good team spirit, and creative in setting out realistic case plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, social sciences or any related field
