Overview

The Evaluation Specialist will support the planning, design, implementation, and dissemination of evaluations and other evaluative exercises to ensure UNICEF's programmes are relevant, effective, and responsive to the evolving needs of children.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, design, implementation and dissemination of evaluations and other evaluative exercises, including reviews, assessments and studies.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Office’s evidence generation plan and strategy.
  • Promote the use of evidence for programme adaptation, strategic planning and policy dialogue.
  • Foster a culture of learning and accountability across the office.
  • Contribute to strengthening national and sub-national evaluation capacity, including engagement with government counterparts, partners and stakeholders.
Required Experience

Minimum of five years of relevant professional work experience in programme development and implementation, including monitoring and evaluation activities. Experience in Quantitative and Qualitative Data Analysis, Research, Programme Audit, and/or Programme Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation is required.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Social Science, economics, public policy, statistics, research methods and any other related fields.

Proficiency in English and in Ukrainian is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.
