Overview
Provide operational support and advice on safety and security related matters in Balochistan to enable programme implementation in accordance with FAO policies and the United Nations Security Management System framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and review Security Management Plans.
- Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
- Monitor compliance with security risk management measures and policies.
- Develop, review, and update security-related SOPs, travel security measures, contingency plans, and evacuation plans.
- Provide timely security advisories, threat assessments, and contextual analysis.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with UNDSS, government authorities, law enforcement agencies, security institutions, local communities, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collect, analyse, and disseminate security information and maintain security information networks.
- Advise programme managers and field teams on security matters and support risk mitigation measures.
- Conduct security assessments and field missions for programme areas and develop security frameworks for new operational locations.
- Maintain incident reporting and security information management systems.
- Deliver security briefings, inductions, and awareness sessions.
- Support the development, testing, and maintenance of medical evacuation plans, emergency communication procedures, and business continuity arrangements.
- Ensure the Warden System is effectively established and maintained.
- Support provincial and district teams in maintaining effective security arrangements and implementing risk reduction measures.
- Participate in Security Cell meetings, Area Security Management Team (ASMT) meetings, and other security coordination forums.
- Prepare periodic security reports, assessments, and recommendations.
- Perform any other security-related duties assigned.
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a law enforcement agency (Police) or UNSMS security role.
Qualifications
University (Bachelor’s) degree from recognised University preferable in International Relations (IR), Business Administration, Political/Social Science.
