Overview
The Project Manager will ensure effective and timely delivery of the "Human Rights for All" (HR4All) project, focusing on promoting the realization of human rights for all in Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of project activities
- Coordinate with implementing partners and UNDP for timely output delivery
- Ensure project implementation complies with UNDP guidelines (Procurement, HR, Communication, Finance)
- Manage project execution according to work plans and budgets
- Manage financial resource requests using advance of funds, direct payments, or reimbursement via FACE form
- Facilitate results-based implementation of project activities
- Perform other duties as required for project implementation
- Support implementation of the Gender Equality Strategy and Action Plan
- Monitor project activities and assess programmatic impact
- Oversee appropriateness and accuracy of progress verification methods
- Manage and monitor project risks, submitting new risks to the Project Steering Committee
- Maintain the Project Risks Log and update risk status
- Manage issues and requests for change by maintaining an Issues Log
- Prepare Project Progress Reports (progress, risks, issues, expenditures) for the Project Management Team
- Ensure timely submission of regular financial and activity progress reports to UNDP
- Oversee timely preparation of reports for UNDP to donors and stakeholders
- Prepare presentations for donor partners, government, and stakeholders
- Create strategic partnerships with government, local authorities, civil society, private sector, and beneficiaries
- Support resource mobilization and maintain relationships with donor partners
- Liaise with programme results teams for coherence and synergy
- Build relationships with other UN agencies, donors, and their implementing partners
- Advise on new developments regarding key partners and stakeholders
- Provide quality advisory services to CO and IPs
- Facilitate knowledge building and management
- Identify and synthesize best practices and lessons learned
- Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice
- Contribute to the design and implementation of stakeholder learning strategies
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years (with Master’s Degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in designing, implementing and monitoring of the human rights-related projects.
- Experience in project management including coordination, financial management, risk management and partnership management;
- Experience working with diverse groups of professionals towards common goals.
- Desired Skills: Experience in policy analysis, development work, project management and implementation (including financial management) related to the rights of vulnerable and minority groups, such as persons with disabilities, religious and ethnic minorities, LGBTQI+ people. Experience with business and human rights issues. Experience in coordinating or implementing activities for private sector. Experience with the country’s institutional framework and policies of human rights. Experience working with government, donors or the UN previously. Experience with SDGs.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master's Degree or equivalent) in Law, Public International Law or International Human Rights Law is required, or A first-level university degree(Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Master’s degree.
