Overview

The Social Cohesion Analyst will support the implementation, coordination, quality assurance, and adaptive delivery of community engagement and social cohesion activities across area-based programming. The position will also support the integration of conflict-sensitive, inclusive, and community-responsive approaches.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advisory services to programming.
  • Support area-based projects to design and implement activities.
  • Support partner implementation and capacity development.
  • Support monitoring, quality assurance and risk management.
  • Strengthen capacities of UNDP personnel and support knowledge management, reporting and learning.
Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years (with a master’s degree), or 4 years (with a bachelor’s degree), of relevant technical experience in one or more of the following areas: HLP, legal awareness, CDR, social cohesion is required. Demonstrated experience in gender equality, inclusion and protection considerations in area-based programming is required. Experience working with CSOs and community-based actors is required. Computer literacy is required: strong competence with MS Office applications (especially Excel) is required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master´s degree or equivalent) in Development Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences or related field is required; or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
