The Programme Analyst - Social Development is responsible for the management of UNDP programme within assigned thematic/sectoral areas, analyzing trends, leading programme formulation and evaluation, and providing policy advice.
Minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national and/or international level in providing management advisory services, hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development portfolios and projects in a related thematic area (Social Development). Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.), database packages, and web-based management systems such as ERP. Additional desirable criteria: Work experience in an international organization and knowledge of UNDP policies and procedures. Programme management. Supervisory and managerial responsibilities.
Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, or related field is required or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
