Overview

The Registration Associate supports the Registration and Identity Management Officer in ensuring efficient, accurate, and high-quality registration processes. The role involves managing complex cases, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting staff supervision and data quality control.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of registration strategies and methodologies.
  • Assist in the supervision and daily running of registration team activities.
  • Conduct registration interviews.
  • Provide counselling to asylum seekers and refugees regarding registration procedures and their rights and entitlements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and data related to registration cases.
  • Identify persons with specific needs and ensure timely referral to protection follow-up.
  • Collaborate with protection staff and/or partners in the delivery of assistance and programming.
  • Draft correspondence and reports relating to registration activities.
  • Provide statistics and draft reports related to registration data.
  • Make decisions related to the day-to-day operations of the registration unit and devise registration procedures.
  • Draft and submit reports and statistics related to registration.
  • Support the identification and management of risks and seek to seize opportunities impacting objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience

3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher. Good computer skills, particularly in data management. Field experience and familiarity with humanitarian contexts are highly desirable. Proven experience in managing PRIMES applications. Strong leadership capabilities, coordination skills with a proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams. Strong interviewing and drafting skills, with demonstrated expertise in handling complex cases as per UNHCR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for registration. Experience in planning, organizing, and reporting on registration activities. Prior experience in conducting training to UNHCR staff and/or partners on UNHCR Tools/systems would be an advantage. Proven analytical skills and ability to process large sets of data and information.
