Overview
Internship within the Planning, Design and Construction Section of the Department of Operational Support, assisting with reviewing and updating gift inventory, cataloguing, and database records.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing gift inventory list and catalogue; provide updated digital information for the gift catalogue.
- Assist in updating database changes to records in Excel/SharePoint and/ or paper records.
- Assist in updating Gift database changes for locations and info with Excel in binders or electronic folders.
- Update information research files and store in electronic folders.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent); or
- Have graduated with a university degree as defined above.
- Computer literate in standard software applications such as MS Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel).
- Demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, including willingness to understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
