Public Information Intern

Overview

This internship supports the development and dissemination of public information products and communication activities for an institution mandated to clarify the fate and whereabouts of missing persons in Syria.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the drafting, editing, and publishing of content for social media platforms.
• Assisting in the creation of visual and multimedia content.
• Drafting social media posts, website updates, and other communication materials.
• Supporting the coverage of events, meetings, and outreach activities.
• Assisting in maintaining content calendars and organizing communication materials.
• Supporting other public information and communication activities.

Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. Experience in managing social media platforms and creating digital communication content for an organization or institution is desirable. Experience in graphic design, photography, videography or use of content creation tools is desirable.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
