Overview

Provide technical and operational support for the planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based SBC strategies to increase demand for immunization services and strengthen community engagement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and implementation of the Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) strategy and activities aimed at increasing demand utilization of vaccination services and Strengthening community engagement.
  • Advocate, create network, and build Partnership to enhance vaccine in the country
  • Innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building
  • Generate and use research, data, and evidence to inform the design, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation of SBC activities to improve health program indicators in general and vaccination indicators in particular.
Required Experience

A minimum of two years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: social development programme planning, communication for development or social and behaviour change, public advocacy or another related area. Experience in partnership building, reporting, monitoring, evaluation are required.

Qualifications

A university degree (bachelor’s or higher) in social sciences, including sociology, anthropology, communication studies / communication for development, psychology and/or related field is required.

Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
