Overview

Consultant to support the implementation of activities aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness and response for SRMNCH services and strengthening service delivery mechanisms to ensure continuous access to quality healthcare in the West Bank.


Key Responsibilities
  • Submit monthly brief progress reports on achievements.
  • Prepare a mapping report on health policies, guidelines, and protocols with prioritized recommendations.
  • Conduct a needs assessment for procurement of life-saving supplies for SRMNCH and follow up on procurement and distribution.
  • Develop a plan for quality improvement activities for Q4 2026 & 2027, including Baby-Friendly Hospital initiative and EENC roll-out.
  • Submit a progress report on nutrition capacity strengthening activities.
  • Prepare a report on dissemination and implementation of preparedness activities.
  • Develop a capacity-building plan for MOH staff and other organizations for 2027.
  • Provide minutes from meetings attended with reflections on action points.
  • Undertake any other assigned businesses to support SRMNCH and nutrition activities.
Required Experience

10 years of experience in SRMNCH programming in West Bank and familiarity with SRMNCH service delivery, procurement processes, and healthcare infrastructure. Proven experience in conducting assessments, evaluations, or research in health systems, particularly in conflict-affected areas. Knowledge of procedures, reporting requirements and ethical practices of the UN system.

Qualifications

Essential: Advanced degree in Public Health, Health Systems, or a related field. First level university degree in medicine, nursing, midwifery or health sciences. Desirable: Postgraduate training in reproductive health, obstetrics & gynecology, midwifery or child health.
