Overview

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing supply chain operations at the country, multi-country, or regional level to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of goods, services, and equipment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a supply chain strategy for the operation.
  • Oversee requisitioning, receiving, storing, and issuing of goods.
  • Supervise procurement processes.
  • Liaise with international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations on supply chain matters.
  • Foster relationships with Host National Societies (HNS) supply chain colleagues.
  • Offer technical support, training, and advice to IFRC personnel and NSs.
  • Lead supply chain coordination efforts with other humanitarian and government agencies.
  • Oversee the effective management and maintenance of IFRC supply chain assets.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing operational specifics.
  • Provide accurate, timely narrative and financial reports.
  • Oversee direct reports and resources.
  • Lead, direct, and motivate the Supply Chain Team.
Required Experience

Min. 7 years of professional experience of a wide variety of logistics roles and activities, including procurement, contracting, transport management, warehouse management, stock control, distribution and convoying, workshop management and customs clearance. Min. 3-5 years of experience of working for a humanitarian aid organisation in a developing country. At least 3 years of experience in providing logistics services and supply chain management in emergencies. Experience of field coordination and liaison with NGO, government, and other agencies. Experience of managing a multinational team (including expats and local staff). Experience of planning and managing budgets. Experience of writing narrative and financial reports.

Qualifications

Professional qualification in logistics or equivalent experience. A university degree in relevant area.

Good command of another IFRC official language (Spanish and Arabic).
