Overview

Consultant to lead the development of digital products and tools for the IFRC Solferino Academy's Locally led climate action summit, focusing on visual design and web development to drive engagement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop communications and engagement strategies.
  • Liaise with and work in collaboration with key partner relationships.
  • Build project plans, deliverables and monitor their management.
  • Report regularly on key issues affecting project deliverables.
  • Design all visual design and branding needs for products.
  • Execute and implement creative digital products.
  • Build videos and edit video contributions.
  • Lead visual design of required report and document formats.
  • Manage the solferinoacademy.com website.
  • Advise on engagement trends, insights and statistics for the website.
  • Identify, manage and help source additional digital platforms.
  • Support additional web developers, coders and technical volunteers.
  • Assist with moderating and updating social media channels.
  • Produce and encourage engaging content for social media.
  • Work closely with communications teams to ensure timely development and dissemination of communications products.
  • Attend project team meetings.
Required Experience
  • Experience managing projects that require timely delivery on digital and visual design elements.
  • Experience with cross-media campaigning, signage design, type design, animation.
  • Experience with event design and particularly visual elements.
Qualifications

A university degree or other study in communications and multimedia is preferable, but not essential. Practical experience, creativity and passion is highly valued.

Languages Required
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in at least one other IFRC language (written and spoken French, Spanish or Arabic) is essential.
