The Immunization Specialist will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and coordination to strengthen national immunization programmes, aiming to improve child health outcomes.
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience at the national and international levels in the planning, programming, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health and immunization programmes is required. Relevant professional experience in health, health and nutrition, immunization, public health, maternal and child health, epidemiology, health systems management, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, partnership development, emergency preparedness, or other related fields is required. Professional experience in a technical role related to child survival and health care is required. Experience in coordinating project implementation with government ministries, particularly regarding system strengthening, is required. Experience working with GAVI and other similar partners is required. Experience working in developing country contexts and emergency settings is required. Experience in immunization, programme management, strategic planning, partnership building, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building is required.
An advanced university degree (Master`s or equivalent) in Public Health, Paediatric Health, Child Development, Child Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology, Public Administration, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines.
