Overview
The Programme and Policy Officer (Evidence and Reporting) will strengthen the analytical, strategic, and reporting functions of the country office, ensuring WFP's interventions are informed by evidence and aligned with corporate standards and national priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development of high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, project documents, and programme strategies.
- Draft and coordinate inputs for WFP’s corporate reporting products, including the Annual Country Report (ACR), Annual Performance Plan (APP), Country and Executive briefs.
- Provide technical advisory support and strategy inputs to senior management through the synthesis and analysis of programme, operational, policy, and contextual information.
- Support the quality assurance of analytical and knowledge products produced by the country office.
- Identify emerging opportunities and trends for policy engagement.
- Represent WFP in UN inter-agency technical working groups.
- Contribute to organizational learning and thought leadership through the development of policy briefs, strategic analyses, knowledge products, and lessons learned.
- Conduct research and desk reviews on food security, nutrition, and resilience-related issues.
Required Experience
A minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in policy analysis, research, and strategic writing support. Prior experience with international organizations is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in political science, development studies, or a related field; or an undergraduate degree with additional 3-5 relevant years of work experience, training, or professional certifications.
