Overview

The Senior Technician (Digital Infrastructure) will support NATO’s Digital Endeavour by transforming IT services. This role involves installing, operating, maintaining, and supporting CIS capabilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Follows standard approaches to create new designs for simple systems or system components.
  • Identifies and resolves minor design issues.
  • Defines software modules needed for an integration build and produces a build definition.
  • Accepts completed software modules, ensuring they meet defined criteria.
  • Provisions/installs, configures, and maintains infrastructure services and components.
  • Monitors, measures, and reports on infrastructure load, performance, and security events.
  • Performs regular high-performance, scalable backups and restores on a schedule and tracks offsite storage.
  • Implements documented configurations for allocation of storage, installation and maintenance of secure storage systems using agreed operational procedures.
Required Experience

2 years post-related experience with higher vocational training in a relevant discipline. Or 4 years post-related experience with a secondary educational qualification. At least 2 years' experience in implementing and managing underlying technology, software, and hardware components for servers, storage systems, data centers, and cloud services. Practical experience troubleshooting infrastructure related issues and performing regular maintenance.

Qualifications

Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline or a secondary educational qualification.
