Overview
The Investment Officer will provide technical support and coordination for private sector investments and technical assistance in Pakistan and other Central and West Asian countries. The role involves assisting in the origination, development, implementation, and administration of private sector infrastructure financing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and participate in the identification, development and processing of projects, undertaking due diligence, risk analysis and mitigation.
- Independently apply proper risk management in projects.
- Contribute to technical, credit and financial due diligence by developing financial models and assessing risk profile, creditworthiness and bankability.
- Review and analyze financial statements and projections, performing sensitivity analysis and stress testing.
- Participate in due diligence missions and provide technical support.
- Undertake industry and country research for transaction risk assessment.
- Prepare Concept and Final Review Memorandums, project document summaries, and risk assessment analyses.
- Engage with the Office of Risk Management and Safeguards Specialists.
- Prepare presentation materials.
- Oversee documentation and maintenance of credit files.
- Contribute to the development of policy and strategies for ADB's developmental goals for the private sector.
- Assist in developing a pipeline of private sector infrastructure projects.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Experience
At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in project finance or corporate finance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting, preferably with advance training, CA, CFA charter holder.
