The Project Analyst contributes to the effective management of the GENSTAT programme by providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. The role guides and facilitates the delivery of UN Women programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures.
At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building is required. Experience in analyzing and interpreting disaggregated quantitative and qualitative data, including gender-related data, to inform programme implementation and policy dialogue is required. Experience in providing analytical and coordination support to development programmes, including synthesizing information from multiple sources to inform planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, is required. Experience in coordinating work across team, partners and stakeholders is required. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required. Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable. Experience in coordinating and liaising with government agencies, national institutions and/or donors is desirable.
Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, statistics, international development, gender/women's studies, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage.
