Overview
The Junior National Consultant on Oral History will transform recorded interviews with mentors into accurate written transcripts for a publication and narrative documentation project.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen to and accurately transcribe interview recordings conducted in Uzbek and/or Russian.
- Produce high-quality verbatim transcripts while preserving the authenticity of participants' voices.
- Organize transcripts according to established project guidelines.
- Flag inaudible sections, unclear passages, or technical issues.
- Ensure consistency in formatting and file management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all interview materials.
- Support basic data organization and archiving of recordings and transcripts.
Required Experience
No prior professional work experience is required. Recent graduates and early-career candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, Education, Anthropology, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
