Overview
The role involves social media and strategic communication for the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT), focusing on engaging audiences with EU digital policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic communication activities.
- Translate complex digital policy topics into accessible and engaging content.
- Create content for social media channels, including visual and video elements.
- Manage corporate social accounts.
- Provide guidance on politically sensitive subjects.
- Engage with a broad range of social media channels.
- Create networks of content creators, influencers, and new media.
- Develop, steer, and implement a social media strategy.
- Engage high-level communication on social media channels.
- Deliver instantaneous content and accompanying visual elements during missions.
Required Experience
- At least 7 years of proven experience relevant to the notice, including:
- Communication and creative communication campaigns.
- Editing and monitoring tools, as well as familiarity with monitoring performance KPIs.
- Shaping content for social media channels.
- Managing corporate social accounts.
- Providing guidance on politically sensitive subjects.
- Tackling a broad range of different social media channels.
- Creating networks of content creators, influencers and new media.
At least 5 years of proven experience with policies such as AI, platform regulation, protection of minors, cybersecurity, supercomputing, new technologies, digital skills and related initiatives.
Experience from the EU institutions’ environment is an advantage.
Qualifications
At least a level of education corresponding to completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma.
