Overview
International consultant to support the ARRIVES project in Nigeria by conducting project reporting and research. The role involves identifying research topics, collecting and reviewing data, and supporting project reporting and participant monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit an inception package comprising a detailed workplan, methodology, stakeholder engagement plan, and a prioritized list of research topics for Phase II of the ARRIVES project.
- Submit finalized sector profiles, coordinate and deliver knowledge-sharing webinars, ensure publication of profiles on the ARRIVES knowledge platform, and provide monthly project reporting and updated participant monitoring data.
- Submit finalized sector profiles, complete monthly and quarterly reporting, coordinate participant surveys and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), analyze preliminary findings, and present an interim progress briefing.
- Submit finalized sector profiles, complete associated dissemination webinars and publications, update the participant monitoring framework with consolidated survey findings, and submit monthly project reporting with recommendations.
- Submit a final consultancy report consolidating all research outputs, sector analyses, participant monitoring results, lessons learned, and recommendations for the second phase of ARRIVES.
Required Experience
Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree. At least 2 years of experience in supporting project management in a displacement or migration context in international organizations. Knowledge of international trade and economic development initiatives; Knowledge of issues relating to migration and displacement; Research experience within a UN context is an asset; Communications/editing experience with ITC is an asset.
Qualifications
Postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/MBA, PHD or other) in International Economics, International Trade, Development Studies, Social Science or any related fields.
