Overview

Support strategic engagement with private sector actors in Hong Kong SAR to mobilize funding, foster responsible business practices, and enable IOM's strategic plan.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the IOM Global Private Sector Strategy through outreach, relationship management, and stewardship of private sector partners.
  • Collaborate to identify, map, and prioritize new private sector prospects and expand existing partnerships.
  • Contribute to designing and implementing a private sector outreach and fundraising strategy for Hong Kong SAR.
  • Develop and maintain a donor and partner database, ensuring monitoring, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strengthen cross-thematic private sector engagement across institutional and PSP's thematic priorities.
  • Deliver initiatives providing technical guidance to private sector partners on migration-related issues.
  • Assist with preparation of high-quality proposals, concept notes, and partnership materials.
  • Participate in private sector forums, roundtables, and strategic engagement platforms.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to partnership development, pipeline growth, and fundraising targets.
  • Work with the IOM team in Beijing to build synergy in private sector engagement between mainland and Hong Kong SAR.
  • Collaborate with PSP Headquarters in the preparation of donor reports, partnership updates, monitoring and evaluation, and strategic communications.
  • Support regional PSP engagement efforts in Asia-Pacific.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Five years of professional experience with a Master's degree in business management, Political Science, Human Rights, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field; or seven years of relevant professional experience with a University degree in the same fields.
  • Experience contributing to private sector partnership development and resource mobilization initiatives.
  • Understanding and experience of the Hong Kong and mainland China context and established track record in private sector partnership work in Hong Kong.
  • Understanding of private sector priorities and experience supporting partnerships development and fundraising with the private sector.
  • Experience in handling Corporate Social Responsibility programs and corporate recognition programs.
  • Experience contributing to identification of private sector opportunities and providing inputs to design and develop solutions with prospective partners for income and impact.
  • Experience supporting relationships management and coordinating with partners across multiple sectors.
  • Experienced in working cross-functionally and obtaining relevant content and information from different units to build innovative partnerships with private sector.
  • Experience in fundraising and donor engagement activities preferable within an international organization or UN context.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in business management, Political Science, Human Rights, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.

Native speaker of Chinese/Cantonese and fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish) is an advantage.
