Overview

The Senior Human Resources Assistant will support the Human Resources Officer in performing a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, pre-employment activities, HR system data management, and staff development coordination.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in evaluation of staffing needs and assist in coordination of recruitment processes.
  • Carry out and coordinate pre-employment activities.
  • Perform assigned role(s) in the organizational HR system, inputting, maintaining, and verifying data.
  • Monitor attendance and leave administration.
  • Carry out and monitor a wide range of Human Resource actions.
  • Prepare, coordinate and monitor all reports on personnel matters.
  • Update and maintain electronic and physical archiving systems.
  • Monitor compliance with the performance evaluation process.
  • Plan and coordinate the organization of Human Resources events.
  • Provide information to staff on their entitlements and responsibilities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide inputs for new procedures.
  • Assist in analyzing and resolving sensitive cases.
  • Participate in inter-agency Human Resources related working groups.
  • Provide guidance and training to and coordinate and monitor work of new/junior staff in the unit.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • High School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience in SAP is a distinct advantage.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications

High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
