Overview

The Protection Assistant - Child Protection - Case Management will implement child protection case management activities in Tripoli, Libya, in accordance with DRC's Child Protection Policy and relevant standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implement child protection case management activities.
  • Participate in trainings, supervision, and coaching.
  • Provide direct services including PSS.
  • Make, enable, and accompany referrals.
  • Adhere to roles and responsibilities for child friendly safe spaces and community-based mechanisms.
  • Conduct activities for the evolution of the Child Protection and Protection programme.
  • Use participatory approaches to facilitate dialogues on protection concerns.
  • Complete data entry and analysis for case management data.
  • Ensure proper use of tools and online platforms for reporting.
  • Collaborate with MEAL teams for monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Represent DRC to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other DRC sectors during field implementation.
  • Ensure interactions with beneficiaries respect safety, agency, and dignity.
  • Support coordination of program activities related to logistics, administration, finance, or security.
Required Experience

At least 1 year of professional experience in humanitarian interventions, preferably in child protection or a field requiring close work with children. Experience in related fields such as MHPSS and General Protection would also be considered. Experience in child protection case management preferred, experience in other individualized service or community and CFS aspects of CP programming also an advantage.

Qualifications

University Degree in the field of Social Sciences, Sociology, Community Development, Communication, Humanitarian Affairs, or any other related field. An educational background specifically requiring work with children will be preferred.
