Overview

This consultancy aims to develop an automated workflow to collect and analyze judicial proceedings related to BPC/LOAS in Brazil's Federal Justice system. The goal is to investigate national patterns of judicialization, determinants of case outcomes, and the socioeconomic profile of claimants.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a web scraping module for systematic collection of BPC/LOAS cases from federal court public portals.
  • Design and implement a database with structured and vector storage for efficient retrieval of collected documents.
  • Calculate aggregated procedural metrics such as average duration, success rate, appeal rate, and reversal rate.
  • Prepare a national analytical report and a repository containing the collection and analysis workflow, along with associated source code and recommendations for public policy improvement.
Required Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative empirical studies or research and data analysis with Python, applied to research in public policy, law, social sciences, and/or related fields. Experience in text mining, natural language processing (NLP), or computational methods applied to legal data; relational or vector databases and automated data collection (webscraping).

Qualifications

University degree in fields including computer science, statistics, economics, public policy, or related areas.
