Overview
This role leads the integration of green skills into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curriculum and develops strategic approaches aligned with environmental policies and sustainable development frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the integration of greening education into TVET curriculum.
- Develops a comprehensive curriculum that integrates green skills across TVET programs.
- Develops interactive training materials, teaching resources, and toolkits.
- Formulates practical learning outcomes for green skills integration.
- Facilitates capacity-building workshops for TVET instructors.
- Promotes awareness of green skills and environmental impacts.
- Develops and updates policies and procedures related to green skills.
- Supports green skills-gender integration efforts.
- Conducts labor market assessments to identify green job roles.
- Collects and analyzes data to forecast growth in green sectors.
- Leads, manages, coordinates, and develops activity planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Maintains records and creates reports on curriculum development progress.
- Prepares regular project reports.
- Documents lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least 4 years working with greening competencies & jobs, or environmental training programs. At least 3 years' experience in curriculum design, instructional development, or educational planning. Experience in TVET systems, ideally with exposure to multiple sectors. Experience in conducting training-of-trainers (ToT) and capacity building of staff.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree “Master’s degree or equivalent “in Environmental Studies from an accredited educational institution, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Renewable Energy) or relevant related field.
