Overview
Support the implementation of capacity building and training efforts for the Protection Unit, focusing on migrant protection, governance, and reintegration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of capacity building activities.
- Participate in capacity building needs assessments and development of programmes.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct capacity building workshops.
- Maintain inventory of training beneficiaries and facilitate evaluations.
- Participate in meetings and conferences, liaising with stakeholders.
- Identify and document good practices and lessons learned.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data.
- Draft status reports, correspondence, and other project documentation.
- Respond to information requests and organize meetings/workshops.
- Monitor work of implementing partners and report non-compliances.
Required Experience
- School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Experience in conducting capacity needs assessments for stakeholders and institutions at national, district and community levels.
Qualifications
School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
