Overview

Internship opportunity to support the Ship to Shore Rights South-East Asia programme in strengthening labour migration governance and promoting safe migration and decent work in the blue economy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Providing assistance to S2SR programme staff in developing and implementing various projects, including drafting of terms of reference, developing training tools, revising draft reports and finalizing publications.
  • Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of the S2SR programme, including supporting data collection from partners, drafting of case studies and contributing analysis for reports.
  • Assisting with the preparation of proposals to donors for technical cooperation projects on labour migration governance and decent work.
  • Drafting, editing and proof-reading of content for the S2SR and ILO communication platforms, including updates on activities, articles and briefs, and content for social media and other communication products as required.
  • Developing and editing of presentations for delivery by S2SR programme staff.
  • Preparing materials and providing support for S2SR workshops and meetings organized.
  • Other tasks as required.
Required Experience

Relevant work experience in the field of international development is considered an asset.

Qualifications

Candidates must be enrolled in the final year of a postgraduate degree (master's degree or equivalent) in human rights, public policy, international relations, law or a closely related field; or have completed the degree during the year preceding the application.

Languages Required
Working-level proficiency in the English language, both oral and written, is required.
Languages Preferred
Proficiency in any other South-East Asian language is considered an asset.
