Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance(ICLA) Programme Development Manager Nigeria Maiduguri

Overview

Design, develop, and implement Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) projects in Nigeria, ensuring quality programming and strengthening partner capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of ICLA strategy, technical SOPs/guidelines and Macro LFAs.
• Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, CC tools, handbooks and guidelines.
• Responsible for developing and managing funding proposals, project budgets, and donor reports.
• Overall management of project staff.
• Coordinate and manage ICLA project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.
• Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills.
• Liaise and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent NRC in relevant forums/clusters/working groups.
• Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees, deportees, refugees or migrants in line with the advocacy strategy.

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience from a senior-level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context. Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Technical protection expertise. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. Knowledge about one's leadership skills/profile. Professional experience in legal protection programming. Experience working with a population with different types of vulnerability. Experience in budget management. Experience with technical report writing.

Qualifications

Relevant completed university degree (Social Sciences, Anthropology, Geography, Law, Development Studies, etc); Master’s degree or higher is an advantage.
