Overview

The Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will provide expertise, direct field support, and capacity building in education programme planning, monitoring, and evaluation, focusing on equity and results-based programming.


Key Responsibilities
  • STEP for Girls and Learning Programme planning, engagement, and coordination with authorities.
  • STEP for Girls and Learning Programme Management, Budgeting, Monitoring and Reporting.
  • Advocacy, Networking and Partnership building for the GPE STEP Program.
  • Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
Required Experience

At least five years of professional work experience in monitoring and evaluation at the national or regional levels in curriculum and instructional materials development, pedagogy and teacher education, quality of education, social development, and/or management required. Familiarity with delivering results in challenging and close contexts such as quality education provision. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree in Education, Social Sciences, Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Education, or another related technical field.

Languages Required
Knowledge of English language at a Proficient/Fluent level is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset. Strong STEP and our GPE project experience and knowledge of UNICEF systems is desirable.
