Overview
The incumbent ensures the delivery of quality basic education services to refugee students and provides technical supervision and guidance to school principals and deputy school principals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the delivery of quality basic education services to refugee students.
- Provides technical supervision and guidance to all School Principals and Deputy School Principals within his/her area.
- Develops and maintains a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Manages the performance and behavior of School Principals and Deputy School Principals.
- Develops and maintains positive and supportive relationships with community leaders, NGOs, government institutions and other relevant organizations.
- Oversees the co-ordination of provision of support services to under-performing and misbehaving students.
- Ensures the effective and efficient administration of staff, students and premises, equipment and supplies.
- Inspects school premises, furniture and other equipment.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
At least seven years' experience in teaching or instructing in subjects relevant to those taught in URNWA schools of which at least three years' experience as a School Principal or in a similar administrative/supervisory capacity is required.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree from an accredited institution in education or in a subject taught in UNRWA schools.
