Overview

Oversee movement operations activities and manage teams undertaking field support. Ensure efficient and effective management of airport services, transit centers, and related operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee up to three teams of staff members undertaking field support activities.
  • Support staff development processes including hiring, training, assigning duties, and giving feedback.
  • Monitor work schedules, validate hours, and process financial paperwork.
  • Oversee the management of airport services for arriving and departing individuals.
  • Coordinate movement and operations activities with DGM and the Ministry of Interieur.
  • Oversee staff assisting individuals at transit centers or third-party facilities.
  • Manage assets and inventories, process financial paperwork, and supervise quality control of vendors.
  • Ensure interpretation services are coordinated for individuals.
  • Supervise the coordination of transportation from consolidation points, transit centers, and third-party facilities.
  • Oversee pre-departure counselling on pre-embarkation procedures and special needs.
  • Supervise the handling of at-risk and sensitive cases.
  • Supervise quality assurance procedures and prepare statistics and reports.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Movement Operations SOPs and systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of paperwork.
  • Alert management of any non-compliance to SOPs or codes of conduct.
Required Experience
  • Prior Movement Operations experience, especially in IOM, is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of IOM's Movement Operations program implementation and administrative, financial and business rules and practices is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • University degree with two years of working experience

Languages Required
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). For this position, French and English is required.
Languages Preferred
Local languages are an advantage.
