Overview
This role leads the design and implementation of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (MNCAHN) interventions in Sierra Leone, focusing on strengthening health systems and community-led solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance to national and district stakeholders and program staff.
- Leads the design and implementation of MNCAHN clinical training.
- Leads coaching and mentoring activities for service providers.
- Adapts global learning and emerging evidence into local solutions.
- Represents the organization in technical working group meetings.
- Develops and monitors workplans.
- Manages and updates project information.
- Participates in the development of donor reports.
- Monitors program data and results.
- Contributes to the development of standards for technical interventions.
- Manages the implementation of activities and adapts tools.
- Identifies opportunities for sustainable approaches.
- Prepares and submits monthly work plans.
- Liaises on procurement and distribution of medical commodities.
- Updates Country HNTS on project challenges.
- Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
Required Experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in leading complex, multi-intervention, and integrated MNCHN programs/projects, and trainings in collaboration with national/local health ministries and international partners.
- Strong technical knowledge and substantive experience in planning and leading key clinical trainings in line with Sierra Leone Ministry of Health protocols, as well as and global technical MNCHN approaches.
- Advanced knowledge of international MNCHN best practices.
- Experience in M&E with a focus on MNCHN data collection, analysis and report-writing.
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills with managing multicultural teams; strong knowledge/experience of gender equality, child protection, and inclusion issues in the Sierra Leone context is preferred.
Qualifications
A clinical degree required SRN, Nursing, Midwife, CHO, or equivalent qualification
