Overview
This internship supports the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights by receiving, organizing, and referring information related to human rights violations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, organizing and registering information and communications.
- Supporting the collection, organization and systematization of information related to allegations, cases and diverse situations concerning possible human rights violations.
- Assisting in the preparation of internal notes based on collected information.
- Assisting in the timely referral of incoming information to relevant focal points, teams or mechanisms.
- Supporting the systematization and tracking of incoming requests and communications.
- Supporting coordination with relevant teams to ensure effective information flow within the Office.
- Performing other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
