Overview

Provide regional and country-level communication and advocacy support on Ebola response.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct context and influencing landscape analysis relevant to DRC Ebola response
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies
  • Develop and support implementation of Ebola Comms/advocacy strategies for DRC
  • Support coordination of advocacy materials (talking points, briefing notes, messaging packages)
  • Identity evidence gaps, strengthen evidence based advocacy approaches.
  • Monitor communication and advocacy progress and produce regular reports.
  • Produce capacity building and coaching to DRC country office teams remotely and during missions
  • Produce communication content for multiple format and channels including social media posts, press, human stories, virtual field visit packages
  • Ensure consistency and quality messaging across regional, country and contribute to communication and advocacy efforts in DRC, neighboring countries (preparedness phase)
  • Contribute to the development of a coherent regional narrative
  • Support coordination of advocacy actions between WCARO, DRC CO, GCCA, and EMOPS
Required Experience
  • Advanced expertise in humanitarian communication, advocacy and/or diplomacy.
  • Experience in public health emergencies, ideally Ebola or similar outbreaks.
