Overview
Seeking an Intersectional Pharmacist for international humanitarian missions, reporting to the Afghanistan Country Representative and Section Pharmacist Focal Point. The role focuses on pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, importation, and liaison with national authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the intersectional technical focal person for pharmaceutical regulatory and importation matters.
- Ensure timely, compliant, and coordinated importation and availability of medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide strategic technical guidance on regulatory and importation matters.
- Maintain sampling tracking files and communicate OOS.
- Monitor the regulatory, political, and operational context.
- Represent MSF and liaise with external authorities.
- Maintain oversight and follow-up of short-expiry and overstocked medical items.
- Support the harmonization of expired medicines destruction processes.
- Define, coordinate, and monitor pre clearance and importation processes.
- Maintain an on the ground presence in Afghanistan.
Required Experience
4-5 years professional experiences, including some experience in developing countries with MSF, ideally with different sections, or another international organization.
Qualifications
Pharmacy degree (or equivalent 4-5 years diploma according to the country of origin of the pharmacist)
