Overview

The Transversal Supply Chain Officer will drive supply chain initiatives across MSF OCB and Ubuntu, focusing on strategic coordination and technical expertise in areas like importation, customs, transport, and warehousing.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, lead, and coordinate transversal supply chain projects and initiatives.
  • Represent Supply Chain Officers and Country Programs supply staff in cross-departmental platforms.
  • Act as focal point for importation, customs, transport, and warehousing.
  • Provide technical and operational support on customs, transport, and warehousing matters.
  • Contribute to the design and validation of supply chain processes and tools.
  • Analyze supply chain data and provide recommendations.
  • Support the implementation of performance management systems.
  • Contribute to the supply chain design of MSF Ubuntu and OCB Supply Chain architecture.
  • Represent Supply Chain in Strategic Ambitions working groups.
  • Act as substitute for Supply Chain Officers in Cells during absences.
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing with MSF Supply Centers, other Operational Directorates, and the International Office.
  • Support learning and change management by contributing to training and dissemination of supply chain knowledge.
Required Experience

Minimum 3 years of international experience in supply chain management in MSF or another INGO, in operational humanitarian context is mandatory. Proven experience with importation, customs, warehousing and international transport processes is mandatory. Experience in procurement is an asset. Experience in project Management, traditional and/or agile is an asset. Knowledge of Humanitarian supply chain challenges and risk management are mandatory. Knowledge of MSF supply systems, policies, and organisational structure is an asset. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel advanced) is an asset.

Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or related field is mandatory. Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g. APICS, CIPS, IATA) is considered an asset.

Proficient level in English both written and spoken is mandatory. Good working level in French is mandatory.

Other MSF operational languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic) are assets.

Remuneration
Salary according to MSF-OCB HQ grid. Homeworking as per MSF Policy. Meal Vouchers - Hospital Insurance (DKV) – Pension Plan – 100% reimbursement for public transportation costs.
