Overview

The role is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, formatting, and producing public information materials for the International Criminal Court (ICC). The Graphic Designer will ensure adherence to ICC Design Guidelines and manage digital and printed archives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualise, design, format and produce International Criminal Court (ICC) public information materials produced at Headquarters or in the Field in the working and official languages of the Court as well as in the local languages of situation countries. Publications include, amongst others, the monthly Newsletter, fact sheets, booklets, posters and Court official legal texts in book and digital formats including on CD;
  • Ensure ICC Design Guidelines are known, understood and properly used by members of the organisation, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that the Court’s image easily identified by and recognisable to the general public over the medium and long term;
  • Set up, manage and maintain digital and printed archives of all ICC publications;
  • Upload updates on the ICC website when requested. This will mainly occur during the busiest periods in the office.
Required Experience

A minimum of six years of experience in graphic design, web development, audio-visual production, computer technology or a related field is required. A university degree, being at advanced or first-level, in combination with four (4) years of relevant experience, may be considered as a substitute for two years’ of working experience only to determine eligibility. Knowledge and experience in use of graphic design software is desirable. Experience in working for professional printing companies would be considered an asset.

Diploma of secondary education.

Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (French or English) is an asset. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Dutch would be considered an asset.
